Back To MAC

I've been saving my MAC empties for a while now and with my recent depotting of my MAC blushes I ended up with enough for 2 back to MAC. If any of you don't know what that it is, its basically a recycling scheme MAC have that if you save 6 empties you can trade for a free lipstick of your choice. The scheme does rule out Viva Glam lipsticks and those that are part of new collections. Its a great scheme really! I thought i'd share which 2 I ended up going for!

The first shade I got was Blankety. I'd been wanting this shade for a while and was going to purchase it but ended waiting! Its a an Amplified creme and a pale pink beige! This is probably the palest I could ever go with a lipstick but its such a beautiful shade! I love wearing it paired with whirl lip pencil or subculture lip pencil! I'd say if you want it to say true to shade subculture would be best as whirl deepens the colour but I love the result!

After deciding between a few for my second choice, I ended up getting Half n Half! This isn't a lipstick i've seen many people talk about and I honestly don't know why! Its right up my street, a pink toned nude! This lipstick is also an Amplified Creme finish. Amplified isn't the most long wearing finish but because both of these are quite a natural shades it doesn't really matter as they wear away nicely with no obvious lines! I haven't experimented much with this shade but I already know it will be well loved like Velvet Teddy and Spirit are within my collection!

If anyone wants to see my full MAC lipstick collection, let me know as I would be happy to! x
